2013.09.13 Melbourne@Australia Day 1 | Tesselaar Tulip Farm / Dandenong Ranges National Park
We take 10pm night flight over to Melbourner on 12nd September, while we reach Melbourne already 9am on 13rd of September.
Earlier make appointment with the tour guide (Mike) as he is Malaysian too. Due the flight arrives early so we went to Optus there buy sim card so that we can contact him. Unlimited date usage and call is 60AUD
Mike emigrated to Melbourne has more than 10 years . He said that he helped his brother to manage a restaurant that's why he immigrant to Melbourne but the restaurant cannot earn much so he decided to end it and change to be tour guide.
Avoid to wasting time, Mike suggest us direct go play until night only go hotel. Of course, the first is to eat a Western-style breakfast slightly. I don't know the restaurant's name and address , because Mike took us to.
Here's the breakfast, we use 88 AUD ordered 4 set of breakfast and 5 beverages.
After finished breakfast then departed to Tesselaar Tulip Farm, as my mum really like flower so this place is special arrangements, I don't think that we can go this place if we follow tour agency. that's why we find Mike for private tour guide, and we no need rush in time and go some place that we don't like. Follow tour is boring
The flower is picked from the ground as I ask mum to make a post like below of the picture. Looks cute, doesn't it?
Saw The Mud Horse before we leave. It's look cute.
The next station is to take the steam train at Puffing Billy, but still early, so Mike took us to the Dandenong Ranges National Park feed cockatoos.
Opened about one hour to reach the national park to feed the wild parrots, the parrots were fed for a long time also, or have no natural predators, nothing to fear from humans and large wild parrot park.
As long as you hold the bird food, those cockatoos will land you in the head / shoulder / arm up. Their claws are sharp, better to wear thick long-sleeved clothes, as my mom's friend wearing long sleeve shirts also get hurt.
